The blue medical gown is made of 35 GSM SMMS non-woven fabric and meets the second level of the AAMI PB70 standard. This standard deals with the liquid barrier performance of the gown. The tests carried out in this context have been successfully completed, so that level 2 of this standard is fulfilled. The term SMMS is also the abbreviation of “Spunbond + Meltblown + Meltblown + Spunbond Nonwovens”. It is therefore a combined nonwoven, combining two layers of spunbond with two layers of meltblown nonwoven inside. This results in a layered product called SMMS nonwoven.

Thanks to this special material composition and the corresponding liquid barrier performance, the gown can therefore guarantee good protection and is comfortable to wear at the same time. This wearing comfort is further enhanced by the knitted cuffs with soft fabric at the wrist. The closure of the gown is also designed to ensure that it is easy to put on and take off. This is because it is a wide, securely adhering Velcro fastener. This also allows individual adjustment of the neckline, which not only increases the comfort of wearing but also the protective function.
